I've seen people use nail polish convincingly. I just leave mine chipped. It's all Mojo.

The problem you may have is finding a good enough match or with touch ups, the colour and nature of the base coat. I've long suspected Harley Davidson use the same candy apple red as fender do. Last week I was at a bike rally and was fortunate enough to get next to a CAR fatboy and compare my 57hotrod to it. The bikes owner also a CAR strat owner had been into it with HD to try to match his guitar and bike. Both companies use the same paint from the same manufacturer. HD's CAR looks far more green than Fender's though. Why? The base coat. Anyways if you can find some Harley touch up CAR touch up pens, thats about the best thing to use.

Nail polish does work, but I would do as others say, and just leave it chipped as now you have a legit road worn guitar... :wink:

Location: In a house....unless I'm at work....then I'm in a shop.
Take the guitar to a automotive paint shop, most now use computer matching for paint, and they can mix up a paint to match.
