Guys, could use some unbiased input here. Check out our '59 Bassman® LTD and scroll down on the page a bit -- notice the full-length "Soul of Tone" brochure that we've posted online. Give me some feedback on this. What do you think? Interesting? Useful? Clunky to use and navigate in a web context? Worthwhile? Just taking up space? No strong preference one way or another?

Just a little experiment we're trying, if we were to move forward with it we'd integrate it a bit better but I could use some unbiased feedback to help us make that decision. Thanks!

Brad
I posted over on FB about it. I really like it, HOWEVER, If you click on it and make it full page it would be much easier if there was an X or something to click on to close/exit the page.

Well the Super Reverb actually stays clean up until around "6" and there's no "presence" control on a '65 blackface Twin Reverb. But I like the basic concept overall. A puff-sheet like this would also work well when FMIC decides to re-issue some SILVERFACE DRIP-EDGE MODELS.

Brad

Initialy I struggled to read the small font, then I accidently clicked the page and it zoomed. In all honesty I didnt find the zoomed page too comfortable. I honestly think increasing the normal view font size would be a better option. It doesn't need to be much bigger at all.

Aside from that, page layout and design is beautiful.

I like it a lot. I agree being able to enlarge it so it's easier to read would be very helpful.

I liked it alot. Not clunky or hard to navigate. I love the ease of moving the pages and the pictures on the bottom to see where I'm going. Very suave.

I agree with the enlarging bit. Also when I moved the picture around to see the top and bottom, I couldn't stop and freeze the picture. I kept closing out of the enlarged picture. (If that makes sense--I'm using Firefox/Mozilla) A close button would be better I think.

Otherwise, Awesome job.

EDIT: Sorry, DUHHHHHH! Should've looked at the picture menu on the top to help me stop moving the page around. Sorry for the duh moment there.

Agreed.

Further though and being frank (vs. conceited), I've used all these amps back in the day extensively at one time or the other. Based on the descriptions I've just read, they tend to be a bit 'glossy' at the detriment of delving deeper into these amps real capabilities. Take the Deluxe for example. I and many of my contemporaries used this model on smaller gigs where of course, a crisp, clean and full sound was required such as a wedding or a square dance. Or, where a raging big sound with serious attitude was required at lower volumes. In the case of the latter, once those tubes warmed up, that amp wailed! Lows were tight, highs screamed and the midrange was absolutely perfect along with plenty of sustain thanks to the harmonic distortion these amps provided. The speakers projected really well, never 'farted out' and of course, the reverb contributed an additional dimension to whatever stylings we were playing. Even at prolonged higher volumes these amps remained consistent and a genuine pleasure. Needless to say, these amps were also rugged, dependable and true work horses. See what I mean?

perfect fit for the reissue pages, I'm as biased as they come, sorry Brad, great job though!

8) after seeing this I want the Bassman and Super Reverb.
