Sounds like there's nothing bad to be said about either company. Good things for musicians. It's a "Win - Win". 8)

I like Sweetwater for their free shipping, free lifetime tech support and free extended two year warranty.

Another Sweetwater fan. I've bought a few accessories from them. Great prices and followup phone calls from a sales rep. Nice touch. I bought a foot switch for my GDec 30 from them and they were $30 cheaper and free shipping.

Hope so. Will be posting pics when they come in or possible a youtube vid. (Should've done that for my Fender Squier--I really held out for that LOL)

LVA,

Let us know how you like the new amp when you get it. I am also in the market for a new Tube amp and even though I haven't played Peavy in years, I am waiting for a review to change my opinion and another option. I am leaning on either a Fender Blues JR, or Marshall Class 5. But if I get reviews on the Vyper series, I may have to look at those as well.

the clas5 isnt a bad amp. it is however to limited in my book.
no reverb, no master volume.
i do like the blues jr though.
as for peavey, im done with them. been my
goto amps for way to long, 20 yrs. them and carvin.
im sticking with fender for a while.

I'd take th Marshall Class 5 over the Blues Jr. Thar's just me though. You would need to try them out for yourself.

today at GC supro.
they are nice dont get me wrong.
its few and far between that i even look twice at a marshall.
the amp can be controled very well with your guitars volume.
for 5watts they are still pretty loud.
only thing is, your gonna use all 5 of them to get the tones the amp was made for, kind of a plexi tone.

Without a doubt. The Marshall Class5 and Blues Jr are both pretty much one trick pony's. I just like the distortion much better on the Class 5. I usually have the volume on my 74 Champ pretty loud and control it with the guitars volume control. Do the same thing pretty much with any amp I use. it just makes sense to me. I can't stand the "fat' switch on the Blues jr.

i like my blues jr though.
its nice to have something different finally.
something NOT geared towards heavy metal.
ive still got my eyes/ears on a egnator rebel
supro. dang those amps are nice.
we mentioned using the volume control
on your fiddle to control the amp.
thats a trick im not so use to yet,
with my metal gear and history.
old dog here learning new tricks bro.
keep teaching and i'll keep learning.
