I've had a look at the first few pages in the lounge, and saw nothing about this posted already. I've never been a huge fan of his, but I take off my (top) hat to the man for keeping his cool. I hope are US based members can view this, here's the link....

Cool.
But was that axle rose on vocals? I believe the show WOULD have ended if it had happened to him.

Takes a calm and strong guy to just pick up the guitar and keep playing without taking out the guy :) 8)

And yea, that DID sound like Axl Rose on vocals...unless it was a soundalike, like Journey's singer. :o

Damn man, that guitar took a hard spill. It WAS cool how he picked it up and tried to finish the lead, but there is one SERIOUS tuning problem going on after that drop. Poor guy. You can tell he wanted to keep it going. I give him mad props for the effort.

Listen at the 0:13-+ mark....some serious tuning tuning issues even before the incident.

 Rock on, Slash!

I know some don't care for him, but I do like his philosophy on keeping it simple as far as playing is concerned. I've always been a believer in simplicity. (then again, I am a bit of a tekkie so I love playing with gadgets).

mike

security is a hard job bro. even with the best sometimes folks still get through.

i would have grabbed the mike and said to the crowd
"hey make sure you guys thank your friend here for disrupting
the show".
the guy would have probably taken a beating.
honestly, slash has always taken one for the fans when he needed to.
i remember one time when billy idol got hit in the forhead with
a 35mm camera. blood was gushing everywhere. he didnt stop the show for 1 sec. ....and the pro ball players think they have it rough from the fans. they get cursed at and they want to fight lol.
bunch of pansies.

If it HAD been Axl then the world itself would have folded in with the tantrum he'd have thrown.
Anyways much Kudos to Slash on getting on with it as i too have had people mess with me while im playing and then ive had to resist letting them taste my headstock...

good man!

Kudos to Slash, but he needs to fire his security and get new people.

To the guys who said it was funny, I guess you don't remember (Dime..)Darrell Abbott being gunned down on stage. This is a lot scarier than you think. This could easily have been the same thing all over again.
