Hi Everyone,

I'm in a band where I work that I started about 2 Months ago. We call ourselves The !@$ Byrne Experiment (an Irish TV personality). I've only really starting seriously playing the Guitar for 8 months, the drummer and I were in a previous band where I played bass, the singer and Bass player have never been in a band before. The most experience member is our lead guitarist, who's an Aussie with a lot more experience.

This is a video of out latest practice, and I know the song is a bit of a cliche but I would like to know what you all think. By the way, I'm the one with the Gibson Les Paul (sorry!) and the Marshall at the back. I do own an MIM Tele and Strat as well as a Fender Deluxe but the equpment suits the song I guess.

Your feedback is most welcome!

Ed.

Great classic tune, great job of playing it! My only critiques, are that you improve how you record it for showing the public, and the lead could have punched through the mix a little louder.

I'd suggest adding someone who can play organ and do some backup vocals.

Also, maybe a mixer with individual mics instead of whatever you used would give you more to work with -post tracking.

great job with a good ole classic. i enjoyed it. the word !@$ was edited for some reason. jeez, i'm as redneck as you can get but that word does not even raise an eyebrow anymore.
keep up the good work and don't worry about the gibson. eventually you'll get a fender. you'll like it bro, trust me. the gibsons sounded great.

Thanks a lot guys. We have no money at the moment so we have to record our own videos any way we can.

I agree with what other guys have said, you need to bring up the leads, add backup vocals and a keyboard player is a great addition to a bands sound other than that for just 2 months together the band sounds promising.Lots of luck with it.
