:D I just wanted to say I just bought my Fender CD140 and I love it! It has that deep rich tone I have been looking for. I have a Mexican Strat that I love also. I am now trying to learn how to play the guitar at the age of 44. I only hope I can do it before next year. That is my 10th anniversary and the wife wants me to learn to play her a song. Wish me luck!

You can do it, Wesley. There are lots of us here who started playing in our 40s. Welcome! 8)

Welcome to the Forum. Is there a particular song she wants you to learn? Several different methods to learn songs, it just depends on which route you want to go.

Welcome Wesley, congrats on the new guitar. Can you post a pic of your guitar? We love pictures. :D People in our age tend to be more serious about their guitar training, you'll be fine. What style do you play? Come visit often and have fun. :)

Hi, and welcome to the forums. What song is it you are going to learn?

Best of luck - I started 2 years ago, and just turned 49. I'm enjoying it immensely! I'm taking lessons, which helps when work and family get in the way of figuring out what to learn and how.

Welcome to the forums and 44 is definitely not too late to start. There are people here who started later and I hadn't played for 25 years when I decided to restart at age 50.

Besides, you have a terrific goal to shoot for and I'm sure you'll make it. That's the advantage of we "older folk" on the forum -- determination brought about by years of experience and maturity!
