Hi again, good people! iv'e been looking at the schaller brand white pearloid strat tuner buttons/knobs, and the chrome volume/tone knobs with white pearloid tops, both the dome and bell style, at the stewmac website, and toying with the idea of changing my standard white pick guard, knobs, and tuner buttons to the pearloid flavor, on my inca silver strat.Image If memory serves, someone recently advised a person to get the small size buttons to be all set. Well, i read in the online ad for the small size, where it states that the smalls fit the mini machines, and also, do not fit on grover, gotoh, or sperzel machines. I'm not sure what brand, if not fenders own, of machines come as stock on 97' American strats. Any help here would surely be most gratefully accepted. Thanks very much.

In my personal opinion that guitar would look awesome with a silver/black paisley pickguard, black pup covers/control knobs/switchtip/trem bar tip.

It may look cool with one of these, http://www.wdmusic.com/fender_strat_pickguard_st_213.html .

Then you could have an all pewter/chrome sort of look. And if you added lipstick pickups it would monochromatic.

Or you could just stick to the original plan. 8)

HI Dave,
Love the white pearloid visual... I have a surf green 50s that i was thinking of doing practically the same thing with. The thing about this stuff is, that there are just to many options, and it makes it really tough to decide :D

Good Luck, and don't forget to send pics.. whatever you decide

Bill

Yeah Bill, it's already getting tough to decide! Your surf green with similar changes sounds mighty good looking too!

I agree. I have the same body color......black pickup covers, knobs, and black pearloid pick guard. Looks great.

That's awesome! Thanks! Nice ram by the way! Does the strat come as standard, or optonal equipment?
Here's another idea: the chrome ones.

Here is that pickguard on a guitar. This is my 1986 Fender MIJ '72RI. The body is white but it should give you a good idea of what will look like.

Yeah, that does look mighty stylin! Thanks a lot Chet! Do you work with Vinn, head of V-pics? i ordered two of the fab four packs, and the acoustic pack. i loved em' right off! They are awsome for strumming rythm or lead! I don't even look for any of the many other kinds of picks i have anymore!

V-Picks Accept no substitutes!
