The tune "Mexican Circus" has been stuck in my head for quite some time. Good stuff 8) Not perfect, but catchy.

So Nevin, what part of Canada are you in? I want to know so I can avoid the "Bands here all suck" area. ( I'm thinking maybe Saskatchewan)

Seems a bit harsh to me to throw such a blanket statement like this out there, knowing someone from one of those "Suck" band maybe reading this and decide to voice his opinion in person. ( The image of a hockey playing guitarist comes to mind)

Maybe you should think of relocating, may I suggest Portland Oregon, we have some really great local bands here and a very strong music seen.

As long as you don't mind the rain. (Hey, you don't have to shovel rain you know.)

If you think local bands always suck, you're living in the wrong place. San Antonio and Austin have some of the best acts around. Come on down! 8)

Here in Southern Ohio, there are also some great bands, some doing covers and some originals.

But then there are a lot of bands that are playing out that should stay in the garage or basement.

I always encourage people to play but tell them they need to make sure they have their stuff together before playing out. They listen to first part but kind of misunderstand the second part.

Maybe in Canada they suck, but here in the Phila, Pa area there's lot of great original and cover local bands. Maybe you need to get out of The Great White North" once in a while. LOL Just kidding, I love Canada. I have a bunch of family in New Brunswick and St. Johns.

You mean when you included the word always in all caps?

Yeah, pretty much. You need to be more careful with absolutes like never and always. 8)

Hey Nevin,
I understand that what you said got mis-construed,but there is talent everywhere, right ?

Bear with me here.

I mean, isn't it interesting to think that somewhere in the darkest 3rd world country could be another Steve Vai or Randy Rhoads? They just don't know they've been given that talent because obviously they haven't had the exposure.

I thought that the band called "Crossed Canadian Ragweed" was pretty good, although they were out of Oklahoma.

Good music is where you find it. Absolutes are rarely absolutes, but they ruffle feathers when applied absolutely.
