I've bought two courses from him. One was the lesson he had on Dirty Pool/Tin Pan Alley type minor chords and the other was the Essential Techniques: Bending course. I bought the one on minor chords because it was something I was very interested in and didn't know too much about. It definitely helped me and I have applied what I learned in that lesson to my actual playing live. I got the course on bending because I'm very particular about my bending and I hate it when I listen to a recording and I think my bending is sub standard. The lesson gave me some new ideas about bending and it really did help me.

The lessons aren't a one time thing either. You don't just watch it once and be done with it. I go back over them and review them often. There's always something I missed that I can pick up by doing that. I think that the lessons I got were worth the money and I wish that I could buy more. Maybe for Christmas. :D

i like his teaching methods. i wish he went deeper into theory though.

I've bought several of his blues box and fretboard sets.

They are good if you use them to practice with (which is what I wanted).
Almost any course or book will work to learn from, if you put in the time and practice effort needed.

If you practice anything enough you can find real world applications for it. :) Sometimes I learn things that I think I'll never end up use, and then I find myself in a position where I need them. And to answer your question, yes, if you don't already know what the blues boxes are (pentatonic shapes basically) then if you learn them they will probably be something you use every time you take a solo.

ok thats what i want to know.
i know tons of crap thats theres no practical use for.
follow me with what im saying?
i know he says his blues boxs arent the standard blues boxes
folks normally use. that part threw me off a bit so ive
yet to order any of his stuff.
if you go to free lessons on his sight, drop down and go to page 2.
theres a thanksgiving jam. click on it and listen.
the dude can play. i do like his tone with both the blues jr and the
samamp he has. his sight is where i found the blues jr amp
for the first time. i loved the tone so i bought one.
play through it every night.

Anthony posts here in this forum from time to time. It was one of his videos that inspired me to acquire a Blues Jr NOS amp.

Somewhere up north. Pennsylvania I believe? I could be wrong though. I think he mentioned it in his blogs about the King of the Blues contest he entered last year.

Anthony is a nice guy, and the lessons are very good. I like to support small businessmen, so I was happy to buy a couple of his lessons. 8)
