now if we could get some of the guys from that other forum to come by and see the freedom from fear of being deleted for no good reason.

there are some really great Fender nuts out there who have a wealth of knowledge and care to help out new guys trying to get started in the Guitar thing.

O.K. guys let6s get posting and teaching, Lord knows I could use the help!!!!!

Glad you guys noticed the "other forum" is run on an incredibly paranoid and vindictive system. You get banned for thought crimes over there. They even encourage Fender employees to come in and bash and flame anyone who finds fault with an FMIC product. It's the "Deadwood" of Fender forums.

I think a lot of those good posters living in abject fear over there would come here in a flash if the hours were expanded. And that would be good for FMICs business. We do a heckuva lot more touting and selling of the virtues of Fender products than we do bashing em.

Look at the SCXD and the VCXD. Already all kinds of players have come in here curious and gone away to buy one based on the well-deserved glowing reports from actual owners. Plus we steer any number of folks towards the Fender amp they're gonna be happy with--like the classic BJ/HRDLX/PJ/BDRI/DRRI dilemmas. This forum leads to more informed and ultimately more satisfied customers, and that helps FMICs bottom line.

I sure like the Mature attitued here, and I'd hate to see it shut down or abused. But couldn't you push the closing time up an Hour, or even Half Hour for us on the West Coast? I keep looking up to see 4:35 on the clock right when I was going to post.

Still, I'd rather have a Quality Discussion Forum with a closing time than a McDonalds Playground. It seems Fender is on the right track.

I registered here last July.

Today, five months later, I made my first posts here.

That's because of the Christmas holiday: I am finally home at a time that this forum is open.

I will check this place out more often. I hope it's a welcoming place.

I have noticed a ton of browsers and few posters.

hopefully people of all knowledge levels will feel free to post and ask questions or make comments.

I do hope the bullies stay home and dont stomp on the less informed!!!!!

and yes I am trying to keep this thread alive in hopes more will read it and reply.

Well it's true, if they open nights and weekends the traffic would quadruple in here. Being open only business and school hours is pretty much the opposite of when posters are available to participate.

I'm out of work this week, but I usually work long hours and have trouble posting in the early evening. I had forgotten that AZ doesn't have Daylight Savings Time so when the east went back to EST I lost another hour!!
