A buddy of mine posted this on facebook today. He's in downtown Austin for the ROT (Republic Of Texas) Rally and snapped this Harley backing in to park. I immediately thought... Eddy's FrankenStrat! Well done IMHO. 8)

Cool bike! I know Eddie has an old red 70's Chevy pickup painted with a stripe like that but he has been definately outdone.

I did not like the paint job on Eddie's guitar, and I do not like seeing it on shoes, shirts, and now Harleys.

I probably would have taken a picture and posted it as well though. The guy with the motorcycle must really be a big Van Halen fan.

Kind of a cool bike, but I never liked it on Eddie's guitar. It got old after I saw it on his shoes and shirts, etc. like rkriesher said. I can't really listen to Van Halen for more than ten minutes without getting a headache.

Wow I loved all of Eds guitars. I know he has taken some heat over the last few years but the guy is a genius plain and simple. Besides being one of the greatest players ever he created some great guitars as the EBMM EVH and Wolfgang are my favorite new guitar of the last 20 years with the best neck I ever played. He developed the 5150 amp and new by Hartley Peavey's own words that they changed the cabinet wood by just using his ears, and created the D-Tuner which is a great little invention. Besides the fact I loved both Roth and Hagar era Vanhalen. Plus no other bands in history outside of Vanhalen and AC/DC ever became bigger and sold more records after losing there established lead vocalist, which is the automatic kiss of death.

I prefer the BW paint job on his guitar and even EVH has admited that he should have left the guitar BW. It had a full pickgaurd and looked very respectable like that. I don't think he is the best ever guitar player but one of the greats. I got tired of listening to Madonna in the 80's but I can still listen to her on some of her songs. So we shouldn't rule out a person completely. Just see what they have and move on.

I actually like the scheme a lot more on that Street Glide than I did on his guitar. Anyway... EVH definitely has left his mark on the music world. Like him or not... 8)
