Sounds good Chet, but make sure you tell them if you feel it is too much, and maybe have them cut back on one day, until you are comfortable with the pace. No need to push it that hard if you start feeling a bit fatigued.

Had my first official day of Pulmonary Rehab today. Going through a massive diet change again. Then I had an appointment with my regular Dr. Going on Insulin for a while. My A1C jumped to 9.9 even though I have been cutting back on things.

The last couple of days have been extremely busy. I have reached a temporary overload and have canceled all appointments for the day.
I am going to basically shut down for the day.

During my day of being down some things happened. I spent most of the day on the phone with various people. Several factors have come into play and because of those factors I have decided to drop my summer and fall courses at College. I will be plenty busy with Pulmonary Rehab 3 days a week.

Been away from the computer this week and just getting caught up. Chet, take care of yourself and keep us updated when you can. Don't worry about school, it will still be there when you are ready.

Thanks All!! I know busy is good, however too much and I get run down too easy. 5 days a week may prove to be too much for me. I will do what I can.

I'm exactly the same Chet, don't over do it buddy. That's a bummer about school, but the course will be there next year. Get yourself fit and healthy, put yourself first. Mojo coming your way my friend, keep us posted when you can. The best of luck to you 8)

Hi Chet, I'm not trying to interfere with doctors here, but when your body is used to some types of food, and then you cut them back, your body will try to compensate and adapt itself to a new diet. Back in the days when I was a jogger, we used the carbohydrate loading method as a natural body reaction to carbohydrate privation, to boost our energy reserve before a marathon (well a quarter of a marathon for me  ) Don't feel bad about your A1C level, your body is in a small panic attack and tries to cope with new reality. If any doubt, talk with your doctor.
For what it's worth, (and I'm sure that a lot of your friends, and also your friends here at the Fender Forum), we are all convinced that you are taking all the steps needed to improve your health very seriously. I'm sad for you that you had to cut in your summer learning program but you are the one in charge and we respect that. You know what you have to do, and sometimes our health becomes our priority number one, because we have long term projects with our loved ones. Sending MOJO to you Chet. Good luck. :)
