By the way, I enjoyed the Reagan link CV. Thanks for sharing.
It was strange how he described in 1961 what we watch go on last year under bama on the healthcare issue. It was as if they were following a scripted as to how Ronald Reagan described the socialist left way of taking over. The use of healthcare just as he said 48 years ago. More people should watch this clip!!!! They will be stunned Deja Vu!!!!

Especially around the 4:00 mark where he talks about senior citizens who don't necessarily need to be on socialized medicine but the gov requires them to be. My daughter is autistic, deaf and blind, and she was required to have medicaid even though we were perfectly happy to provide health insurance for her. There's a case of wasted taxpayer money. When we moved, despite the dept of ed recommending we enroll her in the state medicaid for services, we didn't feel right so opted out. Now we were forced again because in order for her to get her teeth cleaned, it takes like 5 people to hold her down and the only dentist willing to sedate a child for a teeth cleaning only accepts medicaid.

i'm sure we're not the only people in a similar situation...

.
I just don't have a clue as to how they intend to pay for there healthcare bill, where is the money going to come from. Until the economy turns around I don't see it, there talking unemployment being 9.7 for years to come now. In reality it is around 15% and the islamic socialist government of bama is bringing socialism to our medical system as just a first step.

They spent all that time and energy on healthcare... coulda spent it on job growth and maybe folks could be working and subsequently able to afford insurance. My favorite is the "if you like your health insurance through your employer, keep it" yet in the bill, employers get penalized 8% if they do not provide Health Insurance. So what happens when my employer decides its cheaper to pay the 8% than to offer the plan i'm on... how is that choosing to keep my plan?

Don't worry. When the new regime steps in, everything will be fine. We'll all have jobs, the economy will be in tip top shape, we'll all have affordable health insurance and it will be all rainbows and roses. Sorry guys I just couldn't help myself. :D

Well the current request for 2011 is increasing it. So far we approved 1.121 trillion since 9/11/01 which is staggering, but break that down over the 10 years and realized how staggering the amount bama spent on just one bill last year 800+ billion then 23 billion teachers bailout. Then CBO puts the healthcare bill costing about 1 Trillion over the next 10 years and most say that wishful thinking at best. That kind of money makes Afgan. & Iraq cost look low.!!!!

I am always being asked to grade Obama’s presidency. In place of offering him a grade, I put together a list of his accomplishments thus far. I think you would agree that it is very impressive. His first six months have been even more active than FDRs or LBJs the two standards for such assessments. Yet, there is little media attention given to much of what he has done. Of late, the media is focusing almost exclusively on Obama’s critics, without holding them responsible for the uncivil, unconstructive tone of their disagreements or without holding the previous administration responsible for getting us in such a deep hole. The misinformation and venom that now passes for political reporting and civic debate is beyond description.

As such, there is a need to set the record straight. What most impresses me is the fact that Obama has accomplished so much not from a heavy-handed or top-down approach but from a style that has institutionalized efforts to reach across the aisle, encourage vigorous debate, and utilize town halls and panels of experts in the policy-making process. Beyond the accomplishments, the process is good for democracy and our democratic processes have been battered and bruised in recent years.

Let me know if I missed anything in the list (surely I did).

1. Ordered all federal agencies to undertake a study and make recommendations for ways to cut spending
2. Ordered a review of all federal operations to identify and cut wasteful spending and practices
3. Instituted enforcement for equal pay for women
4. Beginning the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq
5. Families of fallen soldiers have expenses covered to be on hand when the body arrives at Dover AFB
6. Ended media blackout on war casualties; reporting full information
7. Ended media blackout on covering the return of fallen soldiers to Dover AFB; the media is now permitted to do so pending adherence to respectful rules and approval of fallen soldier’s family
8. The White House and federal government are respecting the Freedom of Information Act
9. Instructed all federal agencies to promote openness and transparency as much as possible
10. Limits on lobbyist’s access to the White House
11. Limits on White House aides working for lobbyists after their tenure in the administration
12. Ended the previous stop-loss policy that kept soldiers in Iraq/Afghanistan longer than their enlistment date
13. Phasing out the expensive F-22 war plane and other outdated weapons systems, which weren’t even used or needed in Iraq/Afghanistan
14. Removed restrictions on embryonic stem-cell research
15. Federal support for stem-cell and new biomedical research
16. New federal funding for science and research labs
17. States are permitted to enact federal fuel efficiency standards above federal standards
18. Increased infrastructure spending (roads, bridges, power plants) after years of neglect
19. Funds for high-speed, broadband Internet access to K-12 schools

Just reading that list makes me laugh     How much of that stuff was in place before the election? :lol:Guantanamo Bay sure not closing anytime soon and read the military articles, thoughts are there no way to do it. Walter Reed Med is scheduled to close I think in 10 months. My Dad has testified to Congress two times about Military pay and I can tell you bama has done nothing. Stupid list you can shoot holes thru most of it. Plus much of it bama has little to do with anyway.
Face it the Chosen one bama has been campaigning for 2 1/2 years and his biggest accomplishment Healthcare reform is proofing failure already. Plus the economy has go down even more and the foreign governments that many said Bush was turning against us seem to be laughing at bama sending him on his way. He has go nothing!!!! OH except a plan to decrease our military more with Russia thats up his alley for sure lets weaken our forces more.

Can't say I think much of his Justice Department either, with Eric Holder driving the bus. After all the hype about administering justice to terrorists in a civilian court, the first defendant was acquitted this week on all but one of over 200 separate counts.

Those gomers couldn't win an open-book spelling bee!

Things seem to be looking up for Cuba, a new refinery with a cost of 6 Billion going to be built by China. The Chinese government has big plans for tapping the oil in the Gulf of Mexico. All the oil rigs put out of work will be floating to parts of the Gulf controlled by Cuba so that China oil can get pumping. Plus you figure since president jimmy (Peanut Brain) carter gave the Panama canal away which has since become under contract by the Chinese for a 25 year lease is do it's finished expansion in two years the Chinese will be able to get the super tankers thru.

Why can't we do that? Cuba/China will be drilling closer to Florida then U.S. companies are allowed to, something wrong with that thought.
Cuba/China wells dotting the Gulf then using a Canal the U.S. built and paid for after the French failed. The U.S. had a renewable lease in perpetuity ( for ever ) but a peanut farmer gave it away to Panama who in turn thanked him by leasing it to a Chinese Company tide to Chinese government.
The original Mr Economy carter!!!!
