"Hippocrates" = ""
[/quote]

Thanks. Sometimes the fingers type faster than the brain works.
Funny thing is, I do know who the father of Western medicine is. LOL
I was just helping a nephew with some research on Hippocrates and I guess the spelling stuck.

Not to be confused with the Hypocrites elected to office.

Thanks again.

Actually because of the Recovery and Reinvestment Act all of the roads in my area have been redone and they're still going strong. I don't know how far it goes but most of the roads in the town I live in, the town I work in and the town inbetween have been redone and expanded including the highways connecting them.

The state of Maryland must have used there share to make up for short falls because our roads rank among the worst there are in the U.S. Or they might have used the money for road studies because I know that before a road is done there is a study then biding. Maybe next year our shovel ready Jobs will start. I thought of applying for some mony to do something but could not come up with what to say  I be willing to bet those roads where you live were already finance and planned in your home town. You want to know where that money went put in your zip code.

A lot of handouts and payoffs here. Prepare to scratch your head and say what when you click on the dots and see who got the money

Of the 6 dots, only one appeared to be a private company. The rest were the local school district, the local university, the boys & girls club, the county and the city.

Not to many roads there was it. My zip code had 14 contracts 9 Grants for a total of 18,250,734 and report job creation of 7

I fail to see the point of your last few posts. First you said the Recovery and Reinvestment Act did not work so I gave you an example of how it did. I didn't need to reference a website, it's something I see everyday on my way to work.

Then you post a website that shows how the money was distributed and said I'd be scratching my head about where it went but I don't see anything wrong with how it was distributed in my area.

Maybe now you can understand why my views on the current administration are different than yours. I don't need a website controlled by a group that has it's own agenda in mind to tell me how I'm being affected.

I think you're directing your anger at the wrong people. It's not up to the Obama administration to assign the jobs. It's the responsibility of the people receiving the money to create them. You should be directing your anger at the people running your county and state.

My point was the money did nothing to create jobs. To spend over 18 million local here and have them report 7 jobs is a joke. Looking at where the money went in my zip code, there were more lay offs at these places I no. Most of the money went to research grants and to fill gaps in school budgets. Nothing near the amount of infrastructure shovel projects as people think. No new jobs!
Your local roads would have been resurfaced on your local tax dollar.

Just a ridiculous thought but imagine 800 billion dollars and using it to repair or replace 1,000's of the bridges in this country that are in need of such work. All materials must be U.S. manufacture (steel ,paints ect,) Place a 7 year time span on the projects you would see jobs and the nation would get some needed infrastructure fixed. Money better spent then throwing it in school system that already spends to much on bureaucratic waste.

Japan spent gigantic sums on infrastructure over the last 20 years. But their export driven economy was competing with China / India emerging exports driven economy. US experience could be different.

Again, you're blaming the wrong people. Obama gave your state alot of money and your state wasted it.

The posted signs state it is funded by the R&RA.

That might work.

CV, you are the best Bro but some people just don't pay attention, I had a young person tell me today that Americans bombed the world trade center and the Republicans in cooperation with the media staged all of it because they hate Muslims. When I asked him who told him that he wouldn't answer but insisted that is what happened. It is a battle that can't be won, the youth of our country and apparently too many adults are so dissatisfied with their lives that they will believe anything even lies, and this administration is chocked full of professional liars. The only thing left to do is keep a record of the dead Americans many have already lost their lives and many more are going to before this group now in power is done.

Not to interject out of left field here but i hear you on that one. I had a dude argue with me that there weren't even planes that hit the WTC. It was video trickery... despite my mundane attempt to explain that the damn things flew right the eff over my head.

carry on fellers.

There's a lot of crazy conspiracy theories around 9-11. Some think it was an inside job done with explosive charges. Like the Kennedy assassination the American people will never learn the truth.

The economy is so bad :

...that I got a pre-declined credit card in the mail.

...that CEO's are now playing miniature golf.

...if the bank returns your check marked "Insufficient Funds," you call them and ask if they meant you or them.

...parents in Beverly Hills fired their nannies and learned their children's names.

...the Mafia is laying off judges.
