Letting people know that America is a nation that holds Christianity as a strong principle woven into its fabric doesn't exclude any one, it is actually good news for those here and those who would come here. The best aspects of Christianity, The ten commandments, and the story of Jesus, stress honesty and fair and equal treatment of ones neighbors you know that little part about treating others as you would like to be treated, that is as American as Moms apple pie. Misinterpreting that belongs to the misinterpreter ( is that a word? must be George W.s influence ) and any one can come here look around you, most of them are here, you know, all of those freedoms in our Constitution for the people of this country.

George W. made some mistakes when speaking but we forgave him because we knew he was trying to do his best. This president knows exactly what he is saying and a lot of what he has said have been lies falsities untruths and just mean spirited garbage and he says those things knowing exactly how horrible they are to people who have family that fought and died for this country so people like those in Washington now can pretend on camera that it didn't happen. If this country isn't free and people friendly then no country is or ever will be. Instead of wanting to change us, please just leave, we'll be OK and I bet most will stay whatever belief, there just aren't many places as fair and kind and caring as right here.

whoever thinks any one wants to vote any more after what has been going on is off their rocker but we have to, we're Americans, we invented it (sic) I just pray this bunch doesn't cost any more American lives, they have done more than enough damage to this Nation and its people.

I'm still trying to get over the word "Handler" used to describe the Presidents advisors. Meaning what? Why was that term even necessary? Not defending the Presidents ignorant statement regarding Mexico. Bush was pretty guilty of some pretty comical and ignorant statements too. Did he have "handlers"?
You like that Handlers? He is talking head , he was never qualified to be president and only got elected because he talks a good story and the minority vote came out and voted in the biggest numbers they have in history. About 12.5 percent of the U.S. are of one minority group and of that group over %97 that voted went to bama because of his skin color and that can't be disputed. I don't want to inject that into talk about the economy but he is the guy who has the say on plans and people don't want to say it because of being called raciest for saying the truth.. Nothing to do with his qualifications. Then he surrounds himself with people likewise, (unqualified )only %7 of his advisors have public sector experience . the lowest that has been. %7 out of 434 Cabinet members the rest are politicians. Most of the Presidents since Roosevelt have had between %40 to %50 cabinet members from the private sector. Carter and Kennedy had about %30 Life time politicians are the problem they have never had jobs or run a business.

It should be an incentive to vote. The lies have been going on forever.

The whole Christian thing don't do it for me. There are more Hippocrates masquerading as good God fearing people it makes me sick. They tell you about your failings a s a Christian, then go $@!&# chasing and child molesting. Go figure. I'm a recovering Catholic for good reason. We don't seem to fight for our own freedom as much as we fight for others. George W made huge and costly mistakes too as well as Obama, Regan, Carter, Johnson, Kennedy, Eisenhower, you name it. They're all human with some twisted agenda. But as Arjay says it don't mean dick about what's going on with the economy. Except for Bush and Obama currently.
Ane I'll lump the banks in there too. Every really needs to see the film "The Money Masters "It's seriously serious stuff and a real eye opener that isn't politically motivated.

I think that one of the biggest mistakes I made when I was young is that I identified myself with a political party instead of a set of principles. We can call each other right or left wing nuts. However, I bet if we just compared ideas and principles we all would agree on most of it. There will always be issues that people will disagree about but that is healthy for our system. By labeling yourself one or the other you participate in a nation divided and allow power hungry people to manipulate you, by telling you that the others are against you. We all want the same things freedom, opportunity, ect... The best way to operate in my opinion is to decide for yourself what is right for yourself, your family, and your country and identify yourself with those principles, don't just except the options the powers-that-be give you. Then, look at the vote history and experience of each candidate. I kind of drifted off topic. I think the economy is still hurting just look at foreclosures and jobs lost. I think the foreclosure rate is 2800 per day and unemployment is 9.5% at least. But we will be OK. It may be difficult for some years but, as long as hard work pays off most of the time for most of the people we will pull through.

We should all be hoping they don't let the tax cuts bill expire or we will all be paying more out of pocket next year.

Indeed!

And for many folks, it'll be the difference between buying a brand new AVRI from FMIC at full retail MSRP or barely affording some POS Samick relic from their local Craig's List.

That's the bottom line......we either stimulate the private sector using traditional market-force methods or line the pockets of the federal bureaucracy who insist on "poli-tricks" as usual.

supro,I went off Bro and I apologize. I have been ( like many Brothers and Sisters I know ) blind sided by the level of incompetence and total disregard for sensible solutions to problems that face the USA coupled with my own "Gone With The Wind" abstract philosophy of tomorrow is another day and I can deal with it then which has, of course, turned in to a big assa monster and has taken an enormous bite out of my afore mentioned assa that most of the time I'm more confused than an alzheimer patient on laughing gas ( nitro, wippits, a balloon for the buffoon, you know ) so I gotta not put my two cents in anymore, with the dollars devaluation its only copper and not worth much :? ( everyone else too, sorry)

Everybody has two cents worth and it all counts. I never take anything personally unless it's a personal attack on myself or my family.

It's all cool and no need to apologize. We all have personal reasons and experiences for what we believe.

And CV lets not turn this into a huge race thing. I know tons of white folks who voted for Obama. The mas is slick, likable and can talk the talk. But not walk the walk. The Republican party had lots of chances to fix the U.S. and didn't. Bushes business buddies made out pretty well though didn't they? They didn't do their job and the best they could come up with to run against Obama was McCain and Palin. So they had an old, career politician and a soccer mom. It was disappointing to the point that the Republican party didn't even want to win. Both sides need new people with direction and some serious term limits established so some new blood can replace all the career politicians in office.

Anyway, who is actually qualified to be President of the United States? Was Palin if McCain died in office? She was barely qualified to be a responsible parent. Blacks are still a minority in this country and Obama could have been easily been defeated if everyone got off their lazy arses and voted. They didn't and this is what happened. We still have two more years of this garbage and I'm afraid it's only going to get worse. Like I said, I'm a registered Libertarian, but still vote outside my party. I look for the best person for the job. The only time my party affiliation hurts me is at primary election time. The Libertarian's rarely if ever has two or more candidates running for the same office.

In my business, digital photography hurt me even more than the government because anyone with a friggen digital camera and Adobe Photoshop is now all of a sudden a professional photographer and under bid me, but like Obama, can't deliver the goods.
