I went from a MIM Strat to a MIA Strat back in 2000, and I'm still not used to the wider nut width! I guess that my hand prefers the narrower width, but my brain and ears like the higher quality of the MIA.

As for neck shapes, I've found that every one is different. One C-shaped neck could be thicker or thinner than another. I've tried American Deluxe Strats in the past that should have had the exact same necks, but some were a LOT thicker than others. For this reason, I could never buy a guitar on-line... I'd have to actually feel the neck to see if it's comfortable.

Never noticed the nut width but do notice the front to back depth of the necks.

The current Mexican C is heading far more to Jackson type dimensions. Personaly I like it. It seems easier to chord than Jacksons and better to run up than stock USA strats. Then again I've played that sort of shape since yonks ago.

Funny I wish my mim sss fender strat ( with the c- shaped neck) was a little bigger. I'm 6'4" ,I guess my finger length matches my body length :D . I love the sound 's I can get with it and my blues jr 8) . I find my epi dot and cheap Cort acoustic with the larger neck faster to play  .
