Congrats Niki, the man who solved the 10k mystery. Now that it is behind us, it's back to business as usual. Let's push this forum forward, one post at a time. :D

You can't argue with the infallible truths of the colour red.

Red cars...
Red guitars....
Woman in the red dress.....

All of em, very fast, or so we like to think eh?

As with every absolute truth of the universe theres one example of the opposite being true...
The red light!

If it's all I teach the world, I'll be happy.

Now please let it die.

got it today and the trem is set high, i really want to set this guitar up and get it playing to my liking. I am non the less very worried about the nitrocellulose finish, will sitting the trem flush to the body ruin it. will repeated polishing (with just a soft rag no polish) harden the finish any quicker. funny as it sounds i want to get it playing like my 96 mex strat (its had 12years constant tweaking)

Here is the legendary first post by Nikininja. It was about a '57 Hotrod.

Once again, congratulations!

Seems to me there's was much more exchanged between the two of us about that guitar before it actually arrived. But I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now. 8)

The thought of neanderthal Granthamites (Jeremy Kyle candidates to a man) dressed like that makes me absolutely terrified. It's a town of daily Mirror readers (those that can).

My thats worse than the nightmare with the school mistress and the three legged hamster....shudder.

Money4Nothin.

Thats a blast from the past eh? And the grammar still aint great...

All I wish is that Doc would instruct me on the written word to the extent he advised on strat purchase.

Niki, are those knobs from Total Guitar magazine? i have the set of 3 kicking around the parts drawer.

Also wasn't Grantham the site of bad news gig in the first part?

"You didn't let the dog in free? Did'ya?"

I've had conversations so similar to the one they had with the manager after the gig, i don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Laugh, always. It's the only way to get through them gigs.

Yes and yes to the other two questions.
Bad News did play the Grantham Playhouse, my brother outlaw (inlaw) went to see em.
Ade Edmundson is currently playing with a band called 'The Bad Shepards'. They played the local Guildhall, but I couldn't be bothered to go.

I think Johnny, Joey, Dee, Strummer and Viscious are spinning in their graves at this rubbish.

I'm sorely tempted to go to one of these gigs and kick his head in.

Becoming ever more apparent that Mayall was the talent in that duo.
