what a poor game, esp the first half, other than holland thinking that if they get enough yellow, and red cards they will mix to become orange.....
then again most of the matches i saw were a bit meh.
and the less said about england's showing the better...

I think my favorite games of this Cup were Uruguay x Germany and the final, what about you guys, any remarkable games?

the game i enjoyed most was italy new zealand, world champions v underdog match and new zealand should have won it.

Uruguay v Ghana was probably the outstanding game for me, lets hope by the next tournament in Brasil FIFA get their act together regarding video technology, a decent ball that the players themselves endorse, and a new mindset from some of the so called superstars

+1 on Uruguay - Ghana. That was my favorite game.

Good to see Forlan take the Balon de Oro, he is a class act and the epitome of both a world class and team player.

I thought the Spain-Germany game was a good one, as much for the tension as anything and the spanish passing game was outstanding. Could be something to do with the amount of Barcelona players in the squad, I can remember years ago, the Italians had a great and successful national team and they were composed mainly of AC Milan players. Perhaps England will one day have something similar but that looks extremely unlikely, our premiere league is admitedly very good to watch and the foreign players make it so. In my opinion anyway.

I also thought Forlan had a great tournament and also Iniesta, who pulls the strings for Barca as well as Spain. A lot of under performers from quite a few teams but we all know who they were.
I thought the refereeing was generally better than in previous world cups and I agree that next time there will be technological assistance.
The only really low point for me, was those ridiculous vuvuzela things, they have definitely got to be banned from all football stadiums, they ruined the competition for me to a large extent.

The next tournament is to be held in Brazil and the way the South Americans performed in this one, they are going to be very strong in the next. I thought they were tremendous and deserved to be represented in the final.
So we'll soon be back to the normal stuff and here, we have the European qualifiers coming up soon and so it goes on.

All I could of this game were the penalties! I wasn't home that day.
Italy x Slovakia the most odd... felt strange to me see a 4-time champion giving their last signs of life, and at last, going home after only 3 matches.

Please, no more Jabulani or anything like it!!! That ball was some sort of bad joke. Vuvuzelas won't be allowed, I'm sure of that.
