Well, that's the worst England team I've ever seen. I tried to be positive and get behind them but we all know they were totally inept from the very first game.
At the start I called our defence ponderous, after today's debacle that was a complimentary remark, where the hell where they? At one point, just before the Germans scored their third goal, I saw our central defender John Terry way up field near the German corner flag. Trying to be a winger, What!? Why!?
That is about all you can say about the entire England team. What!?Why!?
Will there be an inquest when they come home? The sorry answer is No!! because there never is and we will bungle through to the next world cup in four years and we go through exactly the same again.
Yes, they will be slated by the press and the english people will be disgusted but it will soon pass and next season will start.
We are back to what we do and what we've always done. Club football, we just do not do England.
Why do we keep expecting England to be successful? The clubs don't want it. Buy world class players, that are not english, do well in european competitions and make pots of money.
Ah!! what a relief we only have to go through this every four years.

I can remember talking at the bar in the pub on a few occasions, debating this theory and it is not a bad idea when you think about it.
But not just the team, the entire premiere league should be dropped with no further access and start with an English manager from the lower divisions, who chooses a squad from those divisions. We just might get more from them. Could they do worse?

OM F£$"^^%$G GOD what an absolute nightmare, ur 3 --1 down dopey Terry is at the oppsitions penalty box, they break, the English defence is thinking about their next pina collada by a sun drenched pool and bang

the Germans score again, what does Capello do, bring on the donkey who cant score a goal to save his life (tho he is a craditable) defender reportedly!!!!!
It just doesnt get any worse.

The octupus WAS right he predicted it correct, when interveiwed later (think creature comforts) he stated although he is now a naturalised German citizen living in a German aquarium it gave him little comfort to be proved spot on again. As we speak hes under armed guard after unscrupulous cads are thought to be planning a kidnap attempt!

 wheres the emot for crying ur eyes out.

FIFA scrapping the 6+5 rule isn't going to help England's national players get any better either...if in fact the rule has ben scrapped, I believe I read somewhere it has but couldn't find anything to validate it.

Weve got to stop training foreign players in our premier league, end of story. Limit it to 10 imports per division to be reasonable. Everyone wants to play premier league football, it's the best league in the world, with the most fierce competition. Why the hell are we using that resource to train people that don't qualify to play for the national side. Well the answer is evident, money football is a game for the wealthy and not the working class anymore. The days of kids playing 50 a side, 20 goals each and the next one wins cos it's nearly bedtime, are long gone. Hence sparce national talent.

Well atleast super Mario cop-out'o is deciding on his future. Though why it should be his decision, I don't know. I wouldn't have even called him to sack him. It would have been a very short email at best if I were head of the FA.

The only difference I see is the moustache.

Actually the only reason for overruling the 6+5 rule that I have head about it being against "labour laws". Not sure what the exact law/laws is though.

It's preposterous that such laws apply to sport.

The problem is, we have always had foreign players in the English league for as long as I can remember and in the old days, they were called Scots, Irish and Welsh. In pure football terms they were foreign imports because they could not play for England.
Take a look at the Liverpool, Manchester United teams of the past and spot the Englishman.
Or the great Don Revie Leeds side of the late sixties/early seventies and go through it.
Gary Sprake (GK) Wales, the back four, Reaney, Charlton, Hunter, Cooper, (England) the midfield Peter Lorimer (Scotland) Billy Bremner (Scotland) Johnny Giles (Ireland) Eddie Gray (Scotland) and the front two Allan Clarke (England) Mick Jones (Wales)
So that was five Englishmen in the team and our other top teams, Liverpool, United etc were the same.
So it as been a unique problem in the English league like for(ever)
Perhaps something that should have been addressed a long time ago.

everytime the WPl has tried to address it, it gets shot down by the "pc" crowd, labour laws, and the "hey that isn't fair" nonsense

That hasn't been true for a long time Nik. Every pro sport in the world is now just part of the corporate juggernaut. Any sense of regional pride and loyalty only exists in the minds of us (delusional,) fans. Sport is now only a vehicle designed to separate you from your money, former local pride is now just one of a huge arsenal of tactics to peddle the brand.
