Post subject: How the hell do you clean a pickup selector?

Ok, so, 3 out of 5 pickups are making a really buzzing sound when i switch into em, my uncle said i need to clean the pick up selector, how do you do that??

I would give it a slight blast of WD-40, or just get a new one for about $15.00. I've done both and it works.

Once again I shall say this: WD40 has no business around a guitar!!!

Try some Electrical Contact Cleaner.

It may just have some dust in it some canned air may take care of that.
