I would like to hear from Fender people - are they aware of the price policies used by their Ukrainian and Russian dealers (for example AT&T Trade)? The thing is that the prices are 100% higher than in the US and considerably higher than in EU (I could understand if EU prices were the same taking into account the over the ocean shippment). The latter are the same figures as in the US only in euros so they are higher only because of the USD-Euro exchange rate, I guess.. Quite strange, if you consider that an average salary in Ukraine and Russia (not taking the capital cities - Kiev and Moscow) is about $400. Are the marketing people counting only on the rich in those countries? Wrong policy IMHO: I know lots of semi-professional and professional musicians as well as amateurs who are forced to turn to the local ebay dealers (few people can handle all the legal issues related to ebay purchases in those countries - you need to have "connections") and buy overpriced used gear while for the same money they could get brand new equipment if the prices were at least as in EU..

Here is an example of the price difference - I think you guys in America will be amazed:
Fender Blues Jr list price is $569.99

Guitar Center price is $449.99

EU price at one of the most popular European on-line shops is 477 euros which makes about $715
http://www.thomann.de/gb/fender_blues_junior.htm

and Ukrainian (and Russian is about the same) price for the same amp is $1000!!! (the site is in Russian but you can see the figure 5013,30 UAH - it makes $1000):

The difference just doesn't make sense to me..

You must take into account that countries charge an import tax/customs tax which will greatly affect the price.
I have heard from people in other countries say that parts sometimes cost as much as 3X what they go for here in the U.S.

Quoting directly from our price list page: "Foreign prices will be higher due to each country's tax schedule, tariffs, import/shipping charges and duties imposed by customs."
