Hey ABS, sorry to hear about that. I fell on my left shoulder at work two years ago, thorn ligaments, surgery, recovery etc. I couldn't play a guitar for almost two months but now it is OK except that I will always have small mobility problems in my left shoulder. Do the surgery, take the time to heal properly, document everything about it. I wish you a total recovery, now go play your guitars. :)

Hi ABS. Sorry to hear about your injury. Coincidently, I went through this a year and a half ago. Once I started the healing part, I found playing my Strat, (which was fairly new at the time), was excellent therapy as far as getting back all my mobility.

So, did yours come off at the elbow or up at the shoulder? Apparenlty the shoulder is more common. Mine tore at the elbow. I don't think there is too much difference.

Such great fun talking about our injuries!

Hope all goes as well as it can for you.
