Well gents, as you all know I have been busier than a one armed wallpaper hanger and today it all caught up to me. I am trying to be 18 again and well...my body finally exacted it's revenge. Doing some airborne training today and well, I tore my right bicep, the tendons and the labrum..ouch! The good news...the Doc said I can play my beloved Teles and Gretsch as long as I am sitting down....that is until the surgery. But, at least I can play my guitars....so as the old saying goes...today the bear ate me..:) LOL

Heal well and heal fast, my brother.

There was a bear hunter stalking thru the woods, when all of a sudden he saw a large grizzley bear. He took careful aim and pulled the trigger. Instead of a loud bang there was only a soft "click". The gun mis-fired!! The bear heard the sound and came at the hunter in a full charge.

The hunter, seeing there was no time to reload, prayed to God:

"Lord, please fill this bear with the holy spirit!"

The bear stopped immediately in his tracks and got down on his knees! He put his great paws together and said:

"For this nurishment I am about to recieve, I am truly grateful!"

:D

Plenty of protein my friend. Soy, chicken, beef, fish...... 8)

I tore a rotor cuff a few years back and that's what saved me from the Knife.....
Time certainly has a way of catching up with us doesn't it?

My cousin is a Jump Medic in the good old USAF.

I am glad to hear you are still able to play.
I hope you repair soon-N 8)

Ouch, ABS! Sorry to hear about your misfortune, and I hope you mend quickly.

One bit of practical advice from this retired USAF Master Sergeant: Make sure you keep copies of your medical record entries on this. It will make a difference when you retire. 8)

My condolences ABS. A friend's son in the 82nd had a chute malfunction at Bragg about three weeks ago, It never fully deployed. He hit hard, bounced, landed on his back, and is now recovering.

Consider yourself lucky... Seriously I hope you heal quickly.

+ a few hundred mojo points. Try a set of light jazz flat wound strings on your new Gretsch. Just don't take all the old strings off at the same time.
There are a few good videos at Gretsch.com, something to keep your mind on the guitar for awhile.

Good luck,
John.E

Tough break, I mean tear. Major mojo coming your way. At least you can play seated for now. I foresee surgery and physical therapy in your future. Good luck.
