Does anyone else watch the Imagination Movers? My 11 month old daughter turned me onto the show and I must admit, I love it.

For those of you who don't know, the Imagination Movers are a band out of New Orleans that specialize in childrens music but they incorporate all of their favourite styles to produce songs that appeal to adults as well as their young audience. It's not your standard kids music, Rock, funk, pop, 50's... it's all there. Their rock n roll style is also reflected in their CD's titles, "Juice Box Heroes" and "For Those About To Hop". The TV show incorporates music into their theme of problem solving.

I took my daughter to see them in concert yesterday and it was a great show. Fender was well represented too, Mover Dave was playing a Precision Bass and Mover Smitty was playing a Jazzmaster.

I'm glad to see a show that focuses as much on good music as well as educational content. I highly recommend it to anyone with children.

I heard of this, finally some musical education for kids beyond most of the garbage they are exposed to.

Its a great idea. I'm aware of a band out of NYC called Princess Katie and Racer Steve and they do a similar show. I've seen Racer Steve list some of his stuff on the Gear Page. Thats how I found out about them.
I love the concept and I bet they sell a few CDs as well. Who's gonna say no to their little kid or grandkid when you're instilling a love for music.
Here's a link. :D

I'm glad some still care about music these days, hopefully good music will return in the mainstream some day.
