Now I get it ! the SD1's are stock... It is making perfect sense to me now... So, these pickups are original and not changed... Yes, those are SD1's

oh yeah, they are stock. Some of the later reissues had the HB1 pickups and I hadn't heard good things about them. you had me worried for a second. But as we both know the word of Hans is 99.99999% of the time if not 100% of the time THE WORD! We are lucky to have him over there.

That is one fine example of excellent workmanship. Absolutely gorgeous. Enjoy! :D

Thank you sir! I love Fender guitars but Guilds are my absolute weakness.

Yessir Cat, i love guilds too. I never met a guild i didn't like. I love the acoustics also. I think guild produces some of the most drool worthy, drop dead gorgeous, axes on the planet! The quality of their fine instruments like yours, is second to none, IMHO.

I began as a Guild acoustic lover and truthfully they just feel right. The only other acoustic guitar I would consider is a Collings. But there is just something about an Guild acoustic that feels right. This is my first fullsized Guild electric, as I briefly had a 1973 M65c Freshman 3/4 size, but sold it and used the profits to buy this Starfire.

Not sure if you have ever visited but there is a excellent forum for Guild players, collectors and aficionados, CajunBlues actually turned me onto it:
