In my opinion, Muddy paved the way for Jimi and Stevie. He is my #1 blues guitar hero. 8)

i grew up second or third generation blues... back in the 70's ... the first time i heard Sweet Home Chicago or Honey Hush was by Foghat... i cant quit you baby by Led Zep on Zep I....Walking the Dog and Train kept' a Rollin' by Aerosmith..... and i loved them...

fast forward to my forties and i started to listen to Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, Otis Rush, Tiny Bradshaw... etc., etc.... really makes you appreciate how and where it all got rolling..... gotta love the "new breed" of players... SRV, Robert Cray, Colin James, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Tony D, Jonny Lang, Tommy Castro, etc., etc....

now every time i hear a blues/rock song on the radio i smile to myself and think of Muddy or Wille Dixon or Albert King, etc.....

"Hard Again" has to be in my top 20 albums of all time.

I first heard it as a teenager and it blew me away.

It still does all these years later.

+1 on that album.
