Whenever I played electric guitar in church at my old church people used to react like that, so the epidemic of lameness isn't just limited to mormons.

My wedding is going to feature full volume electric blues, and I'll encourage anyone who has a problem with it to leave. :P

im wearing ripped jeans, a flannel shirt, converse all stars, and a nirvana shirt to my wedding... being a wlaking stereotype is fun!

Well, our first tune was "Play that Funky Music WHite Boy" and we were off jamming away with some funk... Little did we know that some folks started to leave the hall.. And there were complaints rolling into our director to "turn it down" and not play so "hard" ... Unfortunately I decided to kick in the evil overdrive pedal during my solo... That awful devil machinery...

Are you kidding??? You should have played AC/DC mate. I wouldnt take offence to that song at a wedding, in fact- it would make for one hell of a partay. Excuse the pun.

But some folk are clearly over the top in my opinion. Then again they would think im over the top for liking Elvis too, so I guess it swings in roundabouts doesnt it.

Ohh music is the work of the devil!!!

I would have packed up my gear, and told them to shove it. I mean if they were retentitive about that song, well- it speaks volumes. A song like that is to get people up and boogey- good for a wider age group.

You can play at my wedding when I eventually get married. Ill let you play spinal tap if you like.
