Well, I had a really cool gig today. A blues band that I sit in with quite a bit called me out to do a benefit concert for wounded warriors. It's a volunteer thing and since they know that I want to play as much as I can and I don't demand money they let me do it. :) I knew it was going to be really cool, but about a week ago I found out that Ted Nugent would be there to play the Star Spangled Banner! We played for about an hour, then Ted Nugent played and then we got back up and played for another hour. Unfortunately Ted Nugent had to leave soon after he preformed so I didn't get to jam with him. But I did get to talk to him quite a bit. Mostly about guitar and a little about life. He's a really cool guy and he went out of his way to talk to me, so that was really awesome. :D He said he that liked my tone and that I played with a lot of soul. The first set was a little rough though, because I was kinda freaked out that he was listening to me. But after I talked to him and everything the second set was a lot better. He even left some of his picks for me on my amp after he played the Star Spangled Banner. If you haven't heard him play it yet, look it up on youtube, it's really good. :D

So anyway, today's been a really great day and I'm really happy I got the opportunity to play. :D I'll get some pictures up when I can.

Oh yeah, and I gave him a CD a recorded too. It's just a live jam and a song I wrote. I wasn't going to, but my Mom talked me into it and Ted seemed like a nice guy so I went ahead and did it. :)

Thats awesome TGS!!! Ted is a class act - he gets a bad rap from the PETA crew and tree huggin nimrods, but all in all I really respect him for who he is and believe what he stands for - I had the opportunity a few years ago when I lived in NC to see him speak at a sportsmans conference - it was great! I got to speak with him for a couple minutes after he spoke, he autographed one of his books for me, super nice, very polite guy!!

As a guitar player, I love his stuff!! He is a legend!

Yeah, Ted Nugent has been one of my absolute favorites for a long time.
He's one of my main influences. Not so much in blues, but definitely in rock. :D

Cool! :D Just look for the girl with red hair, or just the girl. I'm usually the only one. And I'm definitely the only one with a purple guitar!
