Would any of you know if there are any decent, but fairly inexpensive, acoustic guitars in 3/4 length for kids?

A friend of mine asked me if I knew of any brands because her son is begging for a guitar, but she doesn't want to spend a fortune in case it's just a passing fad.

Most of the cheap children's guitars I've seen are garbage and won't stay in tune. I think a nylon string would probably be best for a youngster.

Thanks.

Without doubt, a Baby Taylor!

Beautifully constructed, simple guitar with a solid sitka spruce top, mahogany neck and an ebony fretboard.

I have a Californian example, they are now built in Mexico, but still a great guitar.

Fantastic tone too! I doubt you will beat it for what you are looking for!

Hope this helps
