Looking for some new blues to listen to. I got a ton of the oldies, Clapton, B.B, all 3 Kings. Looking for some new more modern stuff. I just bought some Albert Cummings, pretty cool.

Any suggestions?

OK, for starters you could check out "The Black Keys" and "The White Stripes." Variations on a theme, I guess.

Also "Stephen Dale Petit" figures largely in the new Blues revolution.

Hi goose63: yeah, I have. Check out Matt Schofield. Not totally sold on his singing voice, but he has a very nice guitar tone and good note choices:

My new favorite blues band is the Jeff Strahan Band out of New Braunfels, Texas.

Other good ones from my area include John Gaar and the Hopeful Souls and the Bob Bass Band.

You know what? If you hit your local music scene, I bet you'll find plenty of artists you'll enjoy. Check it out! 8)

Hey goose, get yourself a subscription to "Blues Revue" magazine.
Lot's of info on new and upcoming blues artists.
A big section of the magazine reviews new blues cd's.
The best part is..every other issue comes with a blues sampler cd. :D
I've come across alot of really good blues artists from this mag. and the cd's.
Check it out.

Wow. A lot of great suggestions. I have a nice long sheet of paper that will cost me a fortune in iTunes.

Thanks everyone!
