I'm usually not into Guitar World magazine since they tend to cover more sweep picking and arpeggios than anything else, but this July their issue will feature Stevie Ray Vaughan and Johnny Winter!
Since I know there are a lot of SRV/Johnny Winter fans on this forum I figured I'd give y'all a heads up. :D

That sounds pretty good. I just got the June issue featuring Keith Richards. It also has a Peter Frampton interview.

You know the irony of that issue is that they're toting it as the 20th anniversary of SRV's death but they're a month early.

I've read it and both the SRV interview and the Johnny Winter interviews are Great. A lot of stuff I didn't know about SRV in there, Also a Interview with Jimmy Vaughn. Man, He just can't seem to get out of that huge shadow his little brother cast.

Got mine in the mail last week and read it cover to cover, finally a good issue from a mag I will not be renewing my subscription to. Tex I did not look but the magazines usually are a month ahead so Junes would be the July issue.Marvin I know what you are saying but Jimmy gets his due respect and is a great player but when your brother is SRV what can you do.

I think my favorite thing about Jimmie Vaughan is that he out of all the people in the world has every right to sound as much like his brother as he wants and no one would call him a Stevie clone because he came first. But he doesn't, he does his own thing and I think that's awesome.

I'd still be stuck trying to play as many guitar licks as I could as fast as I could play them had it not been for two people, Jimmie Vaughan and Freddie King. I still don't use space and phrasing as effectively as I want to be able to, but at least I'm aware of it now. :D

Thanks, picked that issue up!
First one in about six months since I dropped the subscription as they don't seem to normally cover any music style I am interested in lately.
