Today is really a freaky day here in the capital city area. The weather report said it was going to be a good the but with south eastern wind that might bring small amount of ash to CCA (Reykjavík and couple of towns around including my home town, Hafnarfjörður). But when I looked out the window this morning it looked like a fog outside but when I got out I noticed it's is really dry, and it hit me in the head... IT'S FREAKING ASH.

Large amount of dry airborne ash is blowing over the southwest corner of Iceland. Those who have previous medical contitions like astmha are recommended to stay indoors.

I'm feeling very dry in my eyes and I am thinking about buying some eyedrops. I am also feeling a little bit nauciated but that might be because I know what is in the air and feeling naucea just by the thought.

Reykjavik today:

It reminds me of the area from Kuwait Military City to Safwan Iraq immediately after we drove Saddam out in 1991. The oil fires were so bad that in the middle of the day you would drive into this miles long cloud that was pitch black. Not only was it difficult to see but it really messed with the breathing quite a bit. We spent quite a long period of time there breathing in that nasty stuff. Be careful! You don't know what prolonged exposure could do to you in the long run......
