Well, been messing around with this Aqua $@!& for a week now, and I've decided to keep her. She sounds great clean and dirty. I can see why many Fender users love this delay pedal. Read John Mayer got a couple of these reissue AP for the road and kept his original at home.

What do you think?

Sounds good. I always have a hard time telling a good delay pedal though.

I use one of these. It does everything I could possibly need and doesn't cost much more than the DD-3 or DD-7. I really like the LCD display 'cause it means you can set the exact same delay another time if you need to. No guessing. You can save settings too (though I never have):

Seems to me that the person in the video does not know how to adjust the Carbon Copy or was it on purpose? I'd take the MXR any day! JMHO. YMMV!!

I really like Korg's REMS technology. That said, my PX5D has all the delays, modulation effects and more than I'll ever use and it fits in my shirt pocket or guitar case.

From the video, he seems to be adjusting the pedals to have the same amount of delay and level, 1:34. What is the proper way to adjust the Carbon Copy? Did the Carbon Copy bad in the video?

Not much more expensive than the DD3 and DD7? I need to look into that DD20. Looks like a lot of fun.

Here is a video with Jorge Tripps giving details on the reissued Aqua $@!& MkII. I would like to see a video comparison between the original Aqua $@!&, which sells for $1000 on ebay and the reissue Aqua $@!&, sells for $149. Jorge Tripps claims that the reissued Aqua $@!& is exactly the same as the original with no trim pots, but the pics of the newer reissued Aqua $@!& show trim pots in the circuit board. ????

I could not tell exactly how he had anything adjusted from a side view. I'm just saying it was not adjusted to my liking. Also you can't compare one pedal on (let's say) a setting at 12 o'clock to another completely different pedal at the same setting. They will be different. As far as sound goes I thought he had too muck slapback/clipping/treble,something, on both pedals. I guess it's just personal preference of the sound your looking for. I don't think either pedal was adjusted to my liking. Let me say also, there is no right way or wrong way but for myself I can get exactly the sounds I'm looking for(Pink Floyd is one) perfectly out of the Carbon Copy.
Like one poster said apples and oranges in my view but If I were you I'd get the one that you like best.
Congratulations on your choice. :) YMMV!!
