Do what i do in school playing situations, either 1.look over their heads, 2.at their feet or 3.just close your eyes.
Number 3 works especially well if no-one can see your face up close.

Good luck, and report back to us how it goes.

I don't think going into a church drunk in front of kids will quite hit the spot there.     Although that is hilarious.

The E was working better today for some reason.

Thanks for the vibes. Really need it. I'm doing a song with a lot of kids singing "let it shine." They kept making me laugh.

"Well, that's what we do," one girl said. I figure with all the clapping, they won't notice my nervy chord making. I just have to practice more. I was fine at home but when I was practicing with the kids, I got all goofed up. I'll have till tuesday to clean it up anyway.

I figure after school is out, I can go and have someone look at it again.

Went real well today. I flubbed up a little but not too too bad. Everyone said I did well. Phew. I got even offered by a parent to give his kid guitar lessons. LOL

Awesome! I'm glad it went well for you. My Dad played drums in church once (although he's not really a real drummer) and someone came up to him wanted lessons for their kid.

That's great news - I hope it's the first of many (assuming you want more?) :)

Way to go! First time is the worst. I play at church every Sunday and was rough the first few times but after awhile it gets easy.
