I'm going to sound like a total noob, but I've looked on google for information on what chords belong in which keys, but I haven't really found a straight-forward easy to understand website... So I was wondering if you all could help me out.

So, which chords belong with which keys?

Thanks!!

The simple fact is that the same chord progression will transcend many keys. You can add one more chord and completely change the key of a song. About the only rocksolid exceptions are 12bars(3chord tricks) and major progressions.

The circle of fifths is another good thing to memorize. The following is an interactive chart :

I find it better not to worry about specifics and just play what sounds good personally.
