Sorry, but when you're talking about SS, who cares? Tubes are where it's at.

I have not played a Fender SS I loved. I have a Line 6 I really use anymore since I switched to tube power.

im glad i read thru the posts, because i was about to say the same thing. i used to own the frontman 212R right before i got the deville 212. (the deville and frontman are basically the same amp) and i demo'd a jazz chorus and iv seen/heard one used in concert. i did not try the jazz chorus with pedals, but the guy i seen was using some type of distortion peds. its a sweet amp for not too much coin.
