Just this week we accepted offers of boom skimmers from Mexico and Canada and the Norwegian Coastal authority is sending over 40% of its spill response equipment. The South Korean's, Germany, France have also offer help. Even the Croatians has offer assistance. Finally Obama is accepting.

Well, this and the 20 Billion seems fair...or we could tell them to give it back as the British pensioners depend on the B.P dividend to fund their 2nd homes on the Spanish coast. :P

40% of BP 's stock is owned by Americans and BP employs thousand and thousands of Americans in companies that it owns. The company that owned the rig that exploded is own by a business in Geneva and operated by a American Company that is owned by BP. Both Halliburton and Transocean are tied to this well and are American owned companies. Obama is diverting away from the way he responded to the crisis . Obama should take note of how Margaret Thatcher handed the CEO's of Occidental Petroleum she wasn't talking $@! kicking and jailing of the American owners when Piper Alpha blew up.

The need to "go green" and pass Cap and Trade.
You got it CAP AND TRADE Rahm Emanuel has said in the past never waste a crisis for agenda.

Tax and Legislate to a better society, that's the liberal way.

A judge blocked Obama's deep water drilling ban. There are over two dozen exploratory wells that can resume drilling immediately. Obama said they will appeal the ruling (wasting our tax money to safe face) The judges restraining order allows drilling until a case can be made in court. The court says that just because one well fail that Obama can not assume all are bad and will do the same. Com plaintiffs say the economic impact of the moratorium could have worst results on the local economy then the spill itself. 33 wells thats a lot of jobs and people

Yeah, there's a company in Maine sending down 100 feet of boom that claims it might help the situation. If so, BP will buy a huge supply of it.

Yeah, I heard the same but I think it's back on or the robotics are getting ready to put back on today. This thing just keeps getting worse!

Miami,
I am 100% sure this delay is 95% political. The accident was over 2 months ago and they still haven't fixed the problem.
There is zero reason why they cannot build a cap with pressure relief valves and draw pipe that progressively closes and opens so that the
pressure is in constant equalization during the transition stage of capping
the leak. None whatsoever. I believe the first cap attempt purely due to
overengineering mentalities.
Just cap and siphon the oil like a vacuum cleaner.

Yeah, it sounds easy enough. Let's try and keep to the problem and avoid the politics though. We all remember the Wall Street scenario.

The National Weather Service said there's a 30 percent chance the system will grow into at least a tropical storm over the Gulf by the weekend.

what do you guys think of the connections between the 1500 meter ban, George Soros, and Petrobras as it relates to the whole mess? Pretty crazy.
