I like my tone like my women. Full round bottom, sweet and clean but can get as dirty as I desire.

Here is mine, it is a Highway 1 Stratocaster with a Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge. Besides the pick-up, here are the other mods:

1. Locking "F" tuners
2. "F" neck plate
3. Dimarzio 500k volume pot
4. Dunlop Dual Strap Locks
5. Copper shielding in the cavity
6. Black accessaries
7. White Pearloid Pick Guard.

I don't have any pics to post, but my newest Strat has a white body, birdseye maple neck, and chrome covered EMG's (85 & 60). I don't consider it to be a true "metal" guitar, but she'll dang sure set the tubes on fire.

Strat+Tweed=Tone

Mine is a cheap ebayed Starcaster with Hotrails/Coolrails/Coolrails pickups. Stays in tune, great with heavy stuff and < $200.[/img]

Heres my Budget "Heavy metal" guitar. I pretty much use it for anything high gain.



The Mods:
Squier Affinity Strat (this was actually surprisingly good for a 150$ guitar)
Ibanez Infinity pickups 3 and 4.
Black 3ply pickguard
All electronics replaced.

Sounds pretty sweet, and only cost me about 80 bucks for the upgrades.
This guitar also has the most responsive "tone" controls of any guitar i have ever played.
