does boss make a volume boost? electro harmonix has a 'linear power booster' but i cant find any from boss. i have all boss gear and just one EHX pedal will stick out like a sore thumb lol.

i heard an equalizer or another pedal might add volume? any suggestions?

They don’t make a specific volume pedal but many of their pedals can be used as a clean boost. I use my BOSS distortion or overdrives for this….Turn down the effect and turn up the level knob…BAMM you got a clean boost…… Now you are not going to get the DB increase of a volume pedal but it is certainly enough to jump out for a solo or such…..

Cheers
Bill

Why worry about what it looks like over what it sounds like?
The EH LPB1 is a great pedal and so is the Seymour Duncan Boost.

I built my own fro BYOC for 15 bucks. It does a great job and it's really transparent. It's called the Confidence Boost.

I use a Boss BD-2 Blues Driver as a clean boost. Just keep the drive all the way down and the level about three-quarters up -- it does a great job of boosting volume for solos.

And, yes, Boss's EQ pedal can also be used effectively as a booster. Just set all the EQ levels flat and turn up the volume.

Clean boost?

Try this pedal.

Their equalizer pedal can also be used for clean boost. Besides the 'slides' for +/- frequency ranges, there's a slide for volume. To change volume only, set all the eq slides at 0 (midpoint) and move the volume slide up to desired boost. If you like the solo to have more highs, or more mids, just dial them in to go with the volume increase.

I do prefer the MXR m-133 clean boost and wouldn't be concerned about mixing brands. With the MXR, if the boost is too loud or not loud enough, it's large dial has a rubber boot which allows you to put your foot on it, twist and adjust as you play.

And just to throw in some more names, for a Rolls-Royce option here's a very good one that contains "that little bit extra"...

+1

I've tried a couple of these Blackstar pedals with the tubes in 'em and they all sound really fine!

Never mind.
Question asked and answered.

ok, so blues driver for clean boost, dyna drive for dirty boost. the drive on the deville is ok, but the more drive kinda sucks, so i wanted to put a little more 'uuumph' into the gain section.
