i have a memphis brand les paul copy and know really nothing about it except that is cheap and old


any help??

worth?

body wood?

They were bottom feeders back in the late 70s and early 80s. The body is laminated plywood. If you are lucky, you'll get what they cost new back then (approximately $65 to $85).

This is true. they were owned by Yamaha. They were their bottom of the bottom line, made only because of the Asian market's glut of ultra cheap Gibson knockoffs, and yamaha not wanting to lose out on that trend. They made mostly cheap LP and SG copies, but did also dabble in other shapes.

yeah i knew it was cheap. i got it for nothing so i cant complain. the tuners, pickups, neck, pots... pretty much everything sucks but it looks cool haha

thought about gutting it out and putting quality stuff in it but its probably not worth it haha

First Electric guitar I ever had, Memphis Les Paul, Played it through a Peavy Artist tube amp. I played that thin for about Three or Four Years, Then I got an Aria Pro 2,(the metal years) 8)
