not really but that's what i told my wife. i traded my LP for a candy apple red MIA strat today. it's very nice and red is her favorite color. i haven't even plugged it in yet cause i know that once i do i'll be at it all day. besides a string change it feels like it was made for me. forgive me for being giddy. monday is my 42nd birthday and i'm still playing in a band. if i were smart enough to post pics i would. i really feel lucky to be working my 2 jobs in the bad economy. i also feel selfish to spend money while so many others are struggling. i worked hard for this and gave up something i really loved.
bottom line is.......... nothing beats a fender.

p.s. do i get a free t-shirt or something for trading the gibson?

Congratulations!! 8) Don't feel bad because you are working 2 jobs. It just shows that you're willing to do whatever it takes. Some won't work if you give them a job but on the other hand there are a lot of good people out of work.
Post your pictures on a site like www.photobucket.com (it's free) and then you can copy and paste them to your post here. Not hard to do!

wow. break time. she's, umm, well.........let's just say i like her ALOT. i'm not gonna even mention #1 yet but we'll see after practice tomorrow. fender impresses me on a daily basis. i've never been more impressed than i am right now from a mid-price strat. it has curled my toes more than once and that is important. yep, it is important.
hopster i'm workin on the photo, pasty computer stuff some time this weekend. can't wait to share a pic or 2.
break over. gotta bend some strings and come up with a name for this beauty. hey, is there a thread for names of our guitars? if not, there should be. mine all have names.

Jeebus, here's one way that i lurnt howta get them pics in dere. Ya takes some pics of your guitar, and if your pc has the slots, put the pics in your pc from your camera's memory card. If you don't have any photoshop etc. software installed, i believe the pics will go either into a windows photo manager program, or into "pictures," listed in the startup menu box when you click your starup button. Once you get the pics in there, Go to the photobucket website, start a free account, and when you get logged on, there's your name up on top of the screen. click that, and look for a big upload images and videos button. click that. now a box titled select files to upload should have popped up. look on the left for your name or administrator or sumpin, click that, and a list of folders pops up. scroll down to find the pictures folder, click that. now you should be in your pictures. double click the pics you like one at a time, you'll see them upload, then scroll down and click the save button on the download screen. Minimze your screen, go into internet explorer, go to the fender forums, go open your post, and again minimize your screen. Now maximize the photobucket screen, and access your pics. Now you can double click on a pic, then look on the left, click on the bar that has IMG at the beginning. once it's highlighted, hold down control, and press C. go back to your post, use the edit bar above your post. when you get to the edit screen, put your cursor below your message. i use the enter button for dropping down one line at a time. now hold control, and press V. A long row of script should appear if you left the IMG line highlighted at photobucket. if you want to add more pics, keep moving the cursor down below each line of script, and repeat the control C, control V routine for each pic.

Ah, a Candy Apple Red American Special. Very nice, jeebus. Happy birthday to you for sure. :)

My justification when I buy or trade for new gear is that I'm doing my part to help the economy during the recession.

What the hey, portion of "fault" accepted in metro Chicago for "doing" this to you.

But why not have both a Gibson and Fender?
