What type of wah pedal gives you the best bluesy sound?

One being operated by a good blues player.

Seriously, what's a "bluesy" sound? How can one wah pedal sound bluesier than another? It's all in how you use it, what you play through it.

Now, if you want to know which pedal has the widest sweep or sounds the most "vintage" (most like old-school pedals from the 60s) or something like that, then there's an answer.

I like the Dunlop Cry Baby... If it was good enough for Jimi, then is good enough for me.

The Vox and the Crybaby seem to be the two big-dawgs in the wah department.

Did Stevie Ray use a Vox and a Dunlop? Because I know that Jimi used a Dunlop and Stevie had his pedal, but I always thought that Stevie only used two Voxes... TOO CONFUSING!!!

It's not confusing at all if you just stop caring what Jimi and SRV did. I mean, I don't give a flip how or what they played, and my mind is clear as a bell.

Excuse me, I didn't know that there was someone out there that was against learning something about their favorite players. I have been posting here since July, and not one person has discouraged me from speaking my mind on Stevie Ray Vaughan. Because, believe me, I have said numerous things about the man. And, yes, I was using a little bit of exaggeration, but get off my back, will ya? So what if I care what the two greatest players of their times did, and possibly ever! If you're not contemplating these questions as a musician, then you must only play what you make up. Because we get ideas from lots of musicians, and this is just my way of inquiring about those that have made an impact on me.

Nuff said.

The "Budda Wah" is hands down the one of the finest wah pedals ever made.

They have incorporated a hard wire bypass so that the effect is completely out of the circuit when switched off. This allows your signal path to remain pure.

I think the best wah for blues is one that is not hooked in the signal chain.
