It was great this week, now it's very cloudy, and next week it's supposed to rain hard. I guess on the bright side it will clean up some of the ash that is still airborne here and help the poor farmers under Eyjafjallajökull.

Hi Nonni: give me a report on that volcano if you'd be so kind, please.

I have to go to Denmark soon and I'm wondering whether it's OK to buy a plane ticket or if I should play safe and go by sea (much longer journey) because the volcano might fill the sky with ash and close down the airspace again. Whachathink?

Don't worry: I'll make my own decision - nobody else's responsibility. Just want a view from close up...

I'm not an expert, but I play one on the internet.

Last time I heard it is almost over. There still some eruption explosion, some steam, but I think that the ash isn't getting as much airtime as it use to. The ash problem is pretty much a local problem for those who live under the clacier where once green pastures now look like grey deserts and dry ash blows up in the wind.

I heard that lots of Icelanders have been going over to have a look at the volcano for themselves. Have you done that, Nonni? Got any good photos?
