When I was young it was always standing with the guitar slung as low as possible ala Page. Since I blew 3 disc out in my back 13 years ago it has been nothing but sitting. Johnny A plays all of his shows sitting and he is a pretty young guy with great chops.

I've just recently started standing after almost 2 years of learning to play while strictly sitting. It feels so awkward to me but when I first started playing just holding a guitar felt odd so we'll see. I'm strictly a basement player but I figured that I might as well learn both.

I prefer to play sitting down -- I find I play better sitting down as my guitar is not moving around

I prefer sitting down.
