there's not going to be any quick fix for that Tanner, last update they were trying to plug it with mud, don't know how successful they were, a lot of angry folks down there, going to impact that whole area in a big way for who knows how long

Jeez, Riley. Don't you ever get tired of creating essentially the same thread over and over? This isn't Twitter. :?

Hmm, from my point of veiw, I haven't made a single thread like this. I admit, i did make alot of threads on the same topic, and im sorry if i pissed off anyone, but really, try to find another thread where im saying i couldn't be stuffed to do anything. I can garuntee you will fail. But I what i dont get, is that you dont complain in those "good morning forum friends" threads, created by the user "beaubs", or is this just another way to try to make me feel guilty and never come back??

 Listen, Riley. I really don't want to get into a pissing contest, nor do I want to split hairs about exact wording. But since you asked, here are some threads you have created that all convey essentially the same message:

http://www.fender.com/community/forums/ ... hp?t=37266
http://www.fender.com/community/forums/ ... hp?t=36458
http://www.fender.com/community/forums/ ... hp?t=35930

I know you're a teenager, and I get how difficult that can be. But you as you transition to adulthood, you need to learn that there are certain things you just don't say unless you want to be branded as a whiner. These include things like I'm bored and I'm tired. If you feel the need to let people what's on your mind from minute to minute, there's another site for that.

You may recall that captainc launched a thread a while back called "Before You Post." It contained a link to a funny video that gave some good guidelines on when to post, what to post and when to start a new topic. One of the most important ideas in the video is that you should generally reply to an existing thread rather than start a new one. I contend that "Baagh stuff it" scarcely warrants a new thread when you could just as easily have added it to one of your previous threads or to the mindless blather thread. Surely you can see that.

Can the argument be made that the morning greetings from Beaubs are also repetitive? Sure, but there's one crucial difference: They convey a positive message. Nobody gets tired of that.

So am I trying to make you feel guilty or chase you off? No, I just want you to think and to be courteous of your felllow forum users. Thank you! 8)

Woah, what a jerk I've been. Again sorry if i pissed anyone off with the needles posting

Don't worry to much about it lille bro from down under.

I once heard that we go through diffrent faces during our lifetime. And you're propably going through your ego era right now. Most teenager are on that era. It's not ego like "I am the greatest" ego trip but more like "uggh school has started and I'm feeling depressed and everybody should know it" thing. That is the reason why teenagers are such drama queens, including you my friend, I probably could find some past posts from you, but I am not going to rub it in. :D

Believe me in five years you are going to look back and think "men I was stupid back then", then five years later you are going to say "men I was stupid when I was 20". I am sure that anyone over 25 has tought that way about them selves, looked at some old pictures and thought "look at those clothes and that hair, what was I thinking". I am 26 and I have thought that about my self. When I was your age I wore baggy pants done to my knees and listened to hip hop    Men I am glad that I grew away from that.

Take care bro, and get some sleep. You are still growing and the body grows faster while you are sleeping, and the chicks digg tall men  8)

Riley, I admire your tenacity on guitar, especially given your circumstances and health situation...what I heard/saw on your youtube post was pretty cool.

...as far as multiple similar posts, that's ok. But maybe you can try to channel your boredom and tiredness in a different direction.

You could put your original post in these terms, "I was able to (or I had the privilege of) staying up all night writing my poetry. Tired today but it was really cleansing and inspiring to release all that creativity and get to do that..."

I wish I had the circumstances to stay up all night writing songs or playing guitar or even just reading...but when real life beckons (aka, you become a husband or a father, you have a mortgage, a full time job [even though I just got laid off earlier this month after ten years with the same company :( ]), and hearing some kid gripe about being "tired" can tick a person off.

You don't know tired until you've worked fifty hours, and the kid has been sick for two weeks and has school projects and homework due, and you're afraid your wife is dying because she has wasted away to 85 pounds (normal weight 105) and the doctors can't figure out what is wrong, and your friend/co-guitarist has a stroke and can no longer play or sing, and somebody runs into your wife's car with a garbage collection truck and they fight you every inch of the way to get her car replaced...that is tired, dude. (I just described my life in 2009).

Yet, I have loved my life this year...wife is better (fired the doctors and went to a naturalist/herbalist...he also helped the kid with the asthma) and the guitarist still can't play, but he can think, speak and move around and he's alive and fighting back. I no longer have to work 50 hours a week for a group of people who don't appreciate what I did (now I just have to figure out pay that pesky mortgage!), and life is gooooood!

The teen years can be, admittedly, some of the toughest years of your life...you have all this angst and the hormones raging and the desire for more freedom and the possession of oodles of creativity (but irritation at the slightest bit of rejection or criticism)...and there's nothing to do but ride it out.

Plus, all these people keep telling you "these are the best days of your life" (they're lying--it actually gets better! I just turned 40 and these are the best days, even with my current employment situation! But I thought that about my 30s, too, so who knows what my 50s will bring?).

The only thing I ever miss about my teens was the ability to do...nothing. The ability and time to "get" bored Just wax my car all evening if I wanted to (even though I had a part time job at Pizza Hut), or just hang out with my friends...but I wouldn't want to go back for anything, unless I had the knowledge I have now...people say they wouldn't change anything; I, personally, would change everything!!

...and I would start by realizing that better things are yet to come and revel in the fact that I can hang around doing nothing.

Youth is wasted on the young...

i'm not choosing sides on this but i want to say something. when i was young i had noone to teach me or offer me much good advice on anything. instead i taught myself to play guitar and did ALOT of drugs. i'd rather read young riley's posts knowing that he just might be a famous musician some day. i'd like to think the more time he spends on this great forum might keep him out of the trouble i got into when i was his age.
and another thing. i don't think fender is hurting for cash. they got some from me today. wink, wink. happy birthday to me.

Why do you sit under your desk when you write poetry?
Isn't that traditionally what you use the top of the desk for?
