Im sure if you set your amp right you could get a telesque sound from a strat, if not seymour duncan makes a tele style pickup for the strat's bridge position.

Short answer: yes, you can get a Strat to twang like a Tele.

This also seems to depend on the Strat (or Tele) at least to an extent. One of my Teles (the 2002 Hwy 1) doesn't twang without a lot of effort ... it's pretty mellow and I use it for easy listening jazz.

My HSS Strat has more natural twang than the SSS and both are AmStd and both post-2002 models. (The SSS is a 2002, the HSS is a 2008.) On the other hand, I have a MIM with Lace Golds and that's pretty mellow too unless you want to work at getting it to twang.

You can approximate the sound, but never truly duplicate it.

Why in the world would you want your guitar to twang? Seem an awful waste of tone to me… just not my cup of tea or sound I prefer to hear…… Any guitar with single coils will get twang but the tele will rule the roost in this department, I guess that’s why its popular with Country pickers….
