I'm looking to buy a new pedalboard and I was wondering what people on here had to say about different products. Right now I've been looking at the pedaltrain PT-Pro. I'm also very new to using effects, so if someone could give me some information on wether or not I'll need a power supply or any other info you may feel could be useful it would be very much appreciated.

Don't use fresh batteries.

They sound better slightly used. At least SRV thought so.

Pedaltrain makes some nice boards and yes I would get a power supply to go with it. I use a DC Brick but a Vodoo Lab is a good one too!

Hop, I was about to ask why you have two big muffs, then I realized I have two tube-screamers set to different setting. Makes it MUCH easier than trying to adjust the pedals between songs.

I have 2 Big Muffs because one is a Russian model(not made anymore) and the other is an American. They do sound different. The Russian is a lot smoother sounding. I re sized that large pic!

fhopkins? i hate to insult you but our boards are quite the same except for the construction. yours is waaayyy better. the settings on the pedals are also the same. very cool friend.
if you've got the cash then buy a pedalboard. if not, build your own. Mr. Nik was kind enough to show pics of his build. if i can do it, anyone can. ain't pretty but it's effective. i power my pedals with a boss tu-2. i'm not smart enough to use processors. pedals all the way.
good luck.

Build your own, I did. It even has space for my wireless and storage space inside.

All I need to do now is get my gear into the venue. Lift the lid on the board get my to amp cable out. Plug the cable into the amp and the power into the mains. Takes less than 2 minutes. Infinitely cheaper than anything available to buy in that size. Cost me £20 and a couple of hours head scratching, planning it out.

For power I went with this
ctpowersupplies.com/stompbox-8-3000ma-power-supply-with-8-way-daisy-chain-696-p.asp

Cost me £30 carries 3 times more power than the DC Brick or the pedalpower.

It is nice to just pull it out of the case, plug into amp, then plug in guitar, and play huh Niki? Beats the heck out of carrying around all those pedals, batteries, patch cords, etc. for sure. This case has several storage compartments.

I think building a pedalboard might be best then. That way i can save money for another pedal. Any suggestions on supplies? I was thinking of just putting a wooden board at an angle and covering it with velcro.

Nikininja posted a thread about his build of his pedalboard. Do a search on it and he gives detailed instructions. Definitely the way to go if you're good with your hands, and much cheaper. Good luck!! If you can't find the thread I'll try to find it for you.
