I'm talkin movie stars, tv personalities, politicians. Not the ones that are known as musicians that act also. Who plays guitar/bass well that you have heard or seen?
I know Steven Segall is a guitarist. And Sen Huckabee has a show on cable and he play's Bass in his band with the musical guests. Jeff Bridges, guitarist.
Who else is there?

How about US Congressman John Hall (D, NY-19)?

He's won Grammys for his singing and songwriting efforts with "Orleans", recorded with countless other popular artists, AND he plays a Strat.

Kiefer Sutherland has a huge collection. Even had his own "Insoired By" Gibson custom shop was a goldtop CS-356, but was called the KS-356, was an amzing looking guitar. I think the last time I saw one available was for $6K. He also is responsible for signing Rocco DeLuca to his record label. If you haven't heard of Rocco, I suggest checking him out.

The Bacon Bros were on The Graham Norton show here in the UK a couple of weeks back. They were very good. First time I heard them. Years ago I saw there picture on the wall at Manny's, that was the first I'd heard he played.

I know Tim Robbins plays. I think his Dad was in the Highwaymen or someone else. Anyways he was here in Belfast and got up and jammed in the Black Box.

I know Keifer Sutherland is a huge guitar nut and even had his own signature Gibson made up from his fave parts of his fave ES guitars.

Keanu Reeves is another one I have seen play in Belfast with his band Dogstar. They weren't very good but he was having a great time.

Stephen King plays rhythm guitar in a blues band and Simpson creator Mike Groening is often with him too.

Robert Rodriguez also plays a mean guitar.

He's a great player also. Depp plays lead on a few Oasis songs too.

I worked in a place that was posting a film done by Edward Burns (the B.A.R. Gunner from Saving Private Ryan - "put your money where your mouth is")

He had a nice acoustic in the Edit room and was kind enough to let me have a play. I think i remember it being a Martin. He seemed to be really into playing. Not sure how good he was but he goes down in my book as the most down to earth and nicest clients i've encountered. He even recognized me when he was at another facility i worked at about a year later and we passed in the hall way. Remembered my name and all i do is plug $@!& in and fix broke edit systems and help with workflow so its not like i spent too much time with the clients.
