Jeffo,

Haven't played with Digitech processors but used to be a die hard Digitech Pedal customer and a person who was very opposed to using processers. Have you checked out the Boss GT series. I have the GT6 and have to tell you i'm very pleased. The interface is very user friendly and requires very little menu surfing. The preamp, OD/Distortion, and common FX (chorus, verb and Delay) are all right there on the left as Knobs. You then have an FX 1 and FX 2 pedal that gives you added dynamics and timebased FX and are very easy dial in sounds. It even has a pickup and acoustic simulator. Not sure if it has the feature you are looking for to fix your issue but the cool thing is that you can set easily set up user banks so if you are performing and you switch guitars you can just have then next foot switch be set for your other guitar. You can probably pick up a GT6 pretty cheap now that their on to the GT10.

Anyway... my 2 cents as a very pleased GT6 user.

I'd check out one of the newer tube based Blackstar pedals. Some that I know have been using them and think that they're the holy grail?

Mike that pedal looks HOT. I was thinking about a tube booster to add to my chain and might have to persue that. Thanks for sharing.

Have you thought about just getting a volume pedal to run your signal through before it hits the processor? You can back the pedal down slightly on the guitar with the higher output, and boost it back up for the guitar with the lower output?
Seems like it would save money and trouble.
