I finally got GC to refund the excess $ 345 I was overcharged on my LP Traditional. So now I have a store credit and I want to spend it this weekend without adding too much to it. Providing that they are in stock, I am looking at getting one of the following so far:

Epiphone G-400
Epiphone EJ-200
Epiphone DOT
Marshall Class5 Amp
Epiphone Valve Junior Half Stack
Fender SuperChamp XD
Fender G-Dec 3 Fifteen Watt

I just need to make up my mind. Anyone want to give me their opinions? Thanks......

Well You dont need any lesser guitars if you have a Les Paul, and I would assume you have a nice enough Amp for it all so i reckon you could buy the G-dec 15 and have some great fun with it!

I'm all in for keeping guitars fairly similar to how they are now and avoiding the whole MIDI guitars and Tidal wave effects. However the G-dec seems really clever and a really good progression :D

Go for the Marshall Class 5, I'd go for the Super Champ XD second.

I'd go for the SCXD (but I'm biased, I have one and like it) but my second choice would be the G-DEC. I'm considering getting one myself for the built in features -- the one thing I don't have in any of my amps.

I have a VOX AD50VT modeling amp which is just okay, nothing to write home about. Looking at the G-DEC and the Superchamp, I like the Fender Clean Sound a lot. The computer connectivity of the G-Dec looks nice too!

If you don't already have a semi-hollowbody then the Dot might be a good choice.

Why not see if they have any used MIM Strats or go for a Squier Classic Vibe axe?

Thanks for the recommendation, but I actually just bought a white MIM Standard Stratocaster recently. I had to get a couple of high frets fixed but it now plays very nice. Its a keeper now!

Well I am leaning towards the Fender G-Dec 3 (I watched a ton of Youtube videos on it) but I still want to try the Marshall. We will see tomorrow!

Hmmm personally I would steer you away from the marshall, you have to unscrew the chasis just to change a tube, and if your using it in your house its impossible to get it to sound good without it being too loud for your house, basically if you get it below 3 it's not too loud and I wouldn't use it as a gigging amp all of this IMO

+1 The hollowbody will give you a great tone, differing from the solids.

Go buy a few pedals that you dont have , maybe you need a Delay, Tube Screamer or whatever but pedals create, and are sometimes just what is needed to get out of a rut.

I am heading there in about 3 hours. Although I am leaning towards the G-DEC 3, I still want to look at the SG and the DOT. Shoot, I guess I haven't really made up my mind afterall.
